I could tell you about my age, where I live or how experienced I am as a photographer but I rather tell you this:
Somehow I happened to learn so,so much about death, loss and grief within the last years and that made me understand how precious every second, every moment of this crazy and beautiful life is. (I don’t know if this is what they call growing up?!) So I really fell in love with the idea of capturing it. I tried to capture moments and feelings with writing, painting and… photography!
And along the way I found so much light,hope, sense and love in taking pictures. If that sounds „big“- believe me, it is. At least for me. Not „only“ doing it for fun or money but for surviving.
If you know me, you know that I can really run my mouth but being also quiet emotional gets me speechless sometimes. And if words couldn‘t or can’t express my happiness, my pain, my admiration, my point of view (not only in a literal way)- then my photos always will.
Photography has also so much in common with living:
It’s about
…focusing
…the perfect timing for things
…finding balance of light and shadow
…priorities
…intuition
…caring about the little things
… being brave enough to be seen in front of a camera and
…being brave enough to show the love with which you see people through the lens
AND photography creates little „forevers“ in a world of goodbyes-
so let’s be brave and create some forevers together.
